Coaching Kids Basketball Shooting Drill 14

Catch and Shoot Repetition from Elbow

In this drill you will have two players positioned around low post area with ball, and one player(shooter) at or around elbow at top of lane(foul line area

Shooter will begin by crossing lane, and receiving pass from first passer on that side, pivoting, squaring up, and taking shot

He/she will then cross over lane to other elbow area anticipating pass from other low player with ball

Shooter will catch this next pass, and again pivot, square up and shoot, then cross back over for next pass and shot

Shooter will continue this for the duration of the drill

One low player should be getting rebound while other is making the pass to player who is shooting

Note:Length of drill for each shooter before switching can be decided by individual coaches based upon players needs, practice schedule, and time frame.
