Coaching Kids Basketball Shooting Drill 16

V-Cut/Pop Out for Wing Shot

This is another great basketball shooting drill for learning player movement to get open.

P1 will be stationed out high, top of key, with ball

P2 will begin from either baseline corner

P2 will start out as if cutting inside toward low-block, then firmly plant lane side foot, and push off to pop out hard on wing

P1 makes good pass to P2

P2 can either pivot on ball-side foot, or use drop-step pivot (preferred) to get set and squared up for shot

After shot P2 will follow shot, get rebound, then go to Line 1

After pass, P1 will move into Line 2
