Coaching Kids Basketball Shooting Drill 18

V-Cut from Wing into Baseline Shot

In this drill all players will be lined up together high on the wing.

The player in the front of the line(P2) will be the first shooter, while next player is behind them with a ball.

To begin, P2 will make a hard cut down toward the low block area, then make a V-Cut to pop out on the baseline wing.

Next player with ball will make a good pass to P2 popping out.

P2 will gather ball, use a drop-step pivot to get set up to take the shot.

P2 will follow their shot to get rebound and pass to next player in line without a ball.

At this point, P1 who was just the passer now becomes the cutter & shooter.
