Coaching Kids Basketball Shooting Drill 20

Pop from Block/Drop-Step Pivot into Shot at Elbow

In this drill you will need a line of players set up on or near one of the low blocks, and another line set up with balls high out at the top of the key.

To start P1 moves hard and quick straight up the side of the lane to elbow, giving a target and calling for the ball.

P2 make the pass in to P1 around elbow.

P1 gathers the ball and executes a drop-step pivot to get squared up, and takes the jump shot.

After pass P2 moves to back of Line 1.

P1 follows shot, gets rebound, then goes to the back of Line 2.
