Coaching Kids Basketbal-How To: Dribble and Shoot Drill 7

Dribble/Drive-Step Back Jumper

This drill is just about as basic as one can get for simple basketball dribble shoot drills.

In this drill, players will be set up at any area outside of three-point line with ball.

P1 takes two or three hard dribbles in any direction as if going by a defender.

Next, player pulls up abruptly. Picks up dribble and takes a good step backward, bringing both feet to squared position, and shoots the jump shot.

Next player in line should go as player before them releases ball for shot.
