Youth Basketball Drills: Defensive Drill #2

YOUTH BASKETBALL DRILLS: Defensive Drill #2

Three black squares can be folding chairs, cones, or whatever other usable object that you have available.

Players will be in a single-file line, beginning at either low post. Here we have shown the drill starting on the left block.

Make sure players are facing outward at all times.

Players use same technique as in Defensive Drill #1- making sure to keep knees bent, back straight, hands and head up- maintaining good balance on the balls of their feet. Feet should never cross in the process, but should be a scissor motion while trying not to touch.
